Janet Ames
CFO & Controller Services

Prior to joining Roston & Rogers in 2005, Janet served as Controller of a major software company for 10 years where she was responsible for all accounting functions including budgeting, financial reporting, A/R, A/P, audits, payroll, and human resources. Prior to and during that time, she handled accounting and payroll processing for small businesses including general building contractors, property management companies, retail stores, fast-food restaurants, manufacturing, and non-profit organizations. Janet holds a Professional Accounting Certificate through UCSB and an Associate of Arts in Sociology from Alan Hancock College.

Kendall Shinn
Controller

Kendall has lived in Santa Barbara since moving here from Idaho in 1987. She worked for 10 years as operations manager at a local weekly publication and 6 years as a bookkeeper for a small Web programming business before joining the team at Roston & Rogers in October 2006. She has been using QuickBooks for 15 years and applies that expertise to her advantage for quick learning and adaptability for all business types.

Brianna Lane
Tech & Marketing Guru

Brianna has lived in Santa Barbara for most of her life, with extensive work history with marketing and web development companies. She has also worked for Apple Computer, as well as start-ups here in Santa Barbara. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games with her husband, repairing and building computers, knitting and photography.

Alejandra is a Santa Barbara native and is a recent graduate of Santa Barbara City College. She loves spending time with her family and friends and began taking classes at Fresno State this Fall.  Alejandra’s amazing organizational skills make her the perfect addition to the Blueisle team as our administrative assistant.

Stefanie Bayles
Staff Bookkeeper

Stefanie recently moved back to the Santa Barbara area after living for years in Fallbrook with her husband and two young sons. She is excited to be living in Santa Barbara again where she can enjoy one of her life long passions of spending time in and around the ocean. Stefanie loves the abstractness of nature but also enjoys the attention to detail encompassed in bookkeeping.

Stephanie has lived in Santa Barbara since moving here from the Bay Area to attend UC Santa Barbara in 1999. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in sociology and has since started a family. Since joining Blueisle Bookkeeping in 2018, she works with both individuals and businesses to manage their various bookkeeping needs. Stephanie enjoys the intimate atmosphere fostered at Blueisle Bookkeeping and looks forward to continuing to grow within the company.

Chloe joined the Blueisle Bookkeeping team in 2018 and is located in the Ventura office. She graduated in 2017 with her degree in Natural Science. April has been with Blueisle for 14 years and has experience in a wide range of bookkeeping tasks.  She enjoys payroll, bank reconciliations, and maintaining long standing client relationships.  April currently works remotely from her home in Portland, Oregon, where she loves to garden, do puzzles, and take nature walks with her 9 year old dog, Mia.
